Description

Sight translation is one of the most common interpreting modes used in court. The court interpreters are required to sight translate all sorts of legal documents, including judgements, sentencing sheets, waiver and plea forms, and stipulations.   The court Interpreter must read the written document while delivering a verbal rendition in the target language, all in a timely manner. Sight translation is part of the state certification exam.
