Tailored 1:1 Coaching for Serious Candidates

The Court Interpreting Private Class is designed for candidates who want highly personalized, results-driven training for the state court interpreter certification exam. Rather than following a fixed group syllabus, private coaching allows us to focus on your specific goals, exam timeline, and weakest areas across all interpreting modes: Sight Translation, Consecutive Interpreting, Simultaneous Interpreting, and the Written Exam.

Each session is customized to your current level and learning style. You will receive targeted corrections, intensive practice, and strategic guidance to help you move from “almost ready” to fully confident on exam day.

Who It’s For

This private program is ideal for:

  • Bilingual English–Chinese speakers preparing for the state court interpreter certification exam who want individualized attention and a fully customized study plan.
  • Students who have completed group programs (such as the Master Class or Sprint Class) and now need fine-tuning and focused polish in specific skills.
  • Candidates who prefer 1:1 coaching to address particular challenges or performance plateaus.
  • Working professionals with irregular schedules who need flexible, appointment-based training rather than fixed group class times.

Class Details

  • Format: Live 1:1 sessions conducted online (Zoom).
  • Session Length: Two hours per session.
  • Scheduling: Flexible weekday and weekend options, subject to instructor availability.
  • Packages: five sessions and ten sessions packages are available for ongoing coaching.
  • We will work with you to build a schedule that aligns with your exam date and personal commitments.

How the Private Class Works

1. Initial Consultation
Share your exam timeline, prior training, and main concerns (e.g., “simul is my weakest,” “I panic under time pressure,” “legal vocabulary is shaky”).

2. Diagnostic Assessment
Your instructor may ask you to complete short performance tasks (sight, consecutive, simultaneous, or written samples) to understand your current level and patterns of error.

3. Customized Training Plan
Based on your goals and assessment, we design a targeted plan that may include skill-building drills, mock exam practice, vocabulary work, and performance coaching.

4. Live Coaching & Feedback
Each session combines focused practice with specific, actionable feedback so you know exactly what to correct and how to improve.

5. Homework & Ongoing Support
Between sessions, you may receive practice assignments, review materials, and vocabulary work to maximize progress and build consistency.
